About

Tribal Citizenship

The FIGR Citizenship Department is established by tribal Statute and under the
general direction of the Citizenship Committee. The department is composed of
tribal employees and shall be responsible for the day-to-day administration of
citizenship matters.

To ensure professional and independent administration of citizenship matters, no member of the Tribal Council or Citizenship Committee may serve as an employee of the Departments.

The department receives a high volume of communications and enrolled Tribal
Citizens are prioritized first. All inquiries seeking enrollment are routed to the
Citizenship Committee. The response to such inquiries may take up to 60 days.
